How to use the Markdown previewer

Type or paste Markdown on the left and the formatted result appears on the right as you type. On a phone, switch between Write and Preview. Your draft is kept in this browser, so you can close the tab and come back to it later. When you're done, copy the HTML into a website or email, or download a standalone .html page that opens anywhere.

Supported Markdown

• Headings (# H1 to ###### H6), paragraphs and line breaks.
• Bold (**bold**), italic (_italic_), strikethrough (~~old~~) and `inline code`.
• Bulleted, numbered and nested lists, plus task lists with - [ ] and - [x].
• Links, images, and web addresses that become links automatically.
• Block quotes, horizontal rules, fenced code blocks with a language, and GitHub-style tables with alignment.

Is HTML in my Markdown rendered?

No — on purpose. Raw HTML such as <script> is shown as plain text and links that would run code are removed. That makes it safe to preview Markdown you copied from somewhere else, such as a README or an AI chat answer.
